John joined AAI in 1982
after spending three years with Aetna
Casualty & Surety as a commercial
underwriter and marketing
representative. John received his MBA
from Xavier University in 1985 after
having received his under-graduate
degree from Heidelberg College. He has
specialized in the production and
management of trucking accounts over 20 years.

Edward A. Wheaton

Ed became associated with American
Agency in 1983 following years of
experience with Nationwide as a claims
and sales representative. He is a
graduate of Ohio State University with
an insurance degree. Ed received his CLU
and CHFC designations in 1985. He has
specialized in the production and
management of trucking accounts during
his tenure with AAI and also has served
on the agents' advisory board of Great
West Casualty Company which specializes
in truck insurance.

Douglas C. Timpe

In May of 1988 AAI added Doug Timpe
to its production team. Doug joined AAI
with several years of insurance
experience in both the agency and
company areas. Doug is a graduate of the
University of Cincinnati and is
responsible for the production and
management of trucking accounts in Ohio
and surrounding states.
Rob joined the agency in
2004 after graduating from the Kelley
School of Business at Indiana
University. He has attended the
National Alliance School for Producer
Development and held an internship in
the subrogation department at Great West
Casualty Company. Rob is
responsible for the production and
management of trucking accounts in Ohio.
